"It's all about chocolate for Dana Zemack. She teaches classes about it, sculpts with it, and even runs a website dedicated to the dark stuff. At the Institute of Contemporary Art on Friday, she'll host "Chocolate...for a Change," a fund-raiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society...
at which she and some of Boston's best chocolatiers, restaurants, and bakeries will put on a singularly succulent spready of truffles, pastries, and other cocoa concoctions. Yesterday, we talked to Zemack as she and her coconspirators, Mariah Titlow and Merisa Titlow, were busy getting ready.
Globe :: Are you eating?
Dana :: Mmmm-hmmm.
Globe :: What?
Dana :: Honey almond truffles.
Globe :: What is it with you and chocolate?
Dana :: People love it, and I like giving to them. There's power in chocolate.
Globe :: You teach a class at the Cambridge Center for Adult Education called, 'What is Chocolate?' What's the answer?
Dana :: It's the world's obsession.
Globe :: What's your favorite candy bar?
Dana :: Snickers. What's yours? I like Almond Joy, too. Have you had a Kit Kat Big Kat? They're awesome, so big with so much chocolate.
Globe :: Do you eat chocolate every day?
Dana :: Yes, but not crazy amounts.
Globe :: It's not all that healthy, is it?
Dana :: I read something somewhere that it's as good for you as red wine.
Globe :: Do you know who Lady Godiva was?
Dana :: Yes, she ran around naked, didn't she?"
