There is a new bean-to-bar chocolate maker based right here in our very own Somerville, MA! Bean-to-bar means that they make their chocolate from scratch, starting with raw cocoa beans. Making chocolate from scratch is quite an endeavor - a labor of love, really - and I think it's incredibly exciting to have our very own Somerville-made pure chocolate! Taza Chocolate is busy perfecting the blend and process for their debut chocolate bar, which will be coming out soon. In the meantime, you can often find Taza founders Larry and Alex at the Taza Chocolate Lounge at the Mariposa Bakery on Thursdays.
