I was on Charles Street for a late lunch today and stopped into Beacon Hill Chocolates. I got a few different things to taste, including a few truffles from Mary Chocolatier of Belgium. So far, I've tried two:
Bitter Chocolate Truffle: (Pictured above.) Excellent, smooth ganache - not too soft, not too stiff. This is one I'd recommend.
Champagne Truffle: The trick with Champagne truffles is to make them seem a little bubbly. I liked this one well enough, though the powdered sugar coating took away from the overall experience.
