Sweet Arts

I just found a post on Slashfood about the incredibly beautiful photography of RockMade. Photographer Craig Kanarick creates amazing color-coordinated candy collage of classic confections like candy buttons, skittles, sweet tarts, gum balls, licorice snaps, jujubes, and a million other tiny sugary treats.

The whole old-fashioned candy nostalgia thing inspired me to search out this one kind of penny candy that has somehow made its way into several of my conversations over the past few months. I've been trying to explain candy flying saucers to people but no one ever seems to know what I'm talking about. They are in the shape of flying saucers and look and feel like styrofoam but are actually made of sugar and dissolve in your mouth. They're hollow and have super tiny candy dots inside. Looking at them now, I have a feeling that they don't actually taste that good... Either way, I managed to find them at Nostalgic Candy.
